Meet the Team

Our team is led by Andrew Taylor, who is an RICS accredited professional with a wealth of experience in Quantity Surveying. He has worked in several national companies in Yorkshire, London, and Melbourne, Australia. Andrew has an in-depth knowledge of construction contracts and laws surrounding them with first-hand experience settling major disputes and commercial resolutions.

Mike Leake, our Senior Quantity Surveyor, has 40 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and main contractor experience. He has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Quantity Surveying and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the practice.

Lucy Portman, our Senior Quantity Surveyor, has 15 years of experience in Quantity Surveying. She has varied experience on projects including new build, civils, heritage, and refurbishment, under both JCT and NEC forms of contract. Lucy enjoys working with the site and client teams, collaborating to get the best results for all parties.

Mark Nicholson, our Construction Manager, has 30 years of experience as a time-served carpenter. He has a can-do attitude in all situations and specialises in refurbishments and new builds. Mark is first aid SMSTS qualified and has a keen eye for detail and finishing.

Jo Marsden, our QS Office Administrator, brings extensive experience to the administrative side of the practice with a strong background in purchase ledger, accounting, and office management. Her work includes invoice reconciliation, material ordering, managing subcontractor enquiries, and overseeing the practice's social media presence.

Construction Management

In 2018, we launched our sister company, Andrew Taylor Construction Management Ltd. We specialise in tailor-made project delivery, offering commercial, project, and site management for private clients and developers in all construction sectors. Our experienced project teams are dedicated to producing high-end deliveries through professional expertise and a strong subcontract chain.
